As Girly as I’m going to get

Happy Pink Wednesday!!!

Today’s manicure is as ‘girly’ as I’m going to get!

This manicure is an idea I copied entirely from soguesswhat11 who does some incredible YouTube tutorials!!!  I have watched all of her videos (some more than once)!  I guess you could say I’m a bit obsessed, in a non-creepy way, about her tutorial.  I loooove how she brings stamps that appear ‘boring to me’ to my attention, and how innovative she is with them.  Overall though she seems so sweet and friendly through the duration of the video… her work is just mesmerizing to watch…  So again, in a non-creepy way, I urge you to check out her videos!

That being said, here is my totally-stolen-from-soguesswhat11 Pink Wednesday mani.  I used two coats of Orly Pixy Stix (in hindsight I should have used three).  This is a light but bright pink-verging-on-coral cream polish.  It was a bit thick and had some leveling-out issues but I managed ;).  It looks more muted in the bottle, but definitely is a coral almost-neonishness on the nail.  I used Konad plate m77 with Wet n’ Wild Ebony Hates Chris.  I then went fishing for the large hexagonal glitter in Sephora’s Flurry Up (I really wish I had the multi/holo glitter that soguesswhat11 had in her video, but I had to make do with what I had in my stash).  I used one coat of Seche Vite to finish the look.

Using the large glitter is BRILLIANT.  It is so fun to go fishing for the little glitters, they stick perfectly because of the polish they are suspended in, AND the finished look dries nice and smooth (rather than the bumpy texture of a gem…)  I ADORE this look and will try it next with China Glaze For Audrey or Revlon’s Minted.  Have I said how much I like this?

  • Sooooooo pretty! Pixy Stix is very beautiful, I’d put it on my WL if I wouldn’t already have it. 🙂 I love the stamping too!

Thanks. Yeah I’m a fan of this shade for sure. Not too orangey-coral not too pink. Looks so different on me than in the bottle and changes shade depending on lighting. It’s a hit 🙂

  • love the stamping! Does Ebony Hates Chris work better for you now as a black stamping polish?

I have the gold-black polish from Konad and that one is far more saturated/opaque than Ebony Hates Chris… buuuut, I have grown to like stamping with this Wet n’ Wild colour (I like the cheaper price too)… maybe because I’ve used it a bit it is getting thicker/better… but it is still NOT as nicely opaque as a Konad special polish.

  • LOVE this, and love the idea of fishing for glitter. Now watching Youtube tutorials and am obsessed. That should be my next goal for when we hang out 🙂
