For today, I chose a manicure which is inspired by a Christmas Song.
We all know the traditional christmas jingles: “Frosty the Snowman”, “Holy Night”, “Jingle Bells”… but every now and then a song comes out for the Holiday Season that catches your attention. Ever since I heard “Christmas Shoes” it always brings me to tears. There is something about it that touches a secret part of me (an inner fear/worry) and I always get goosebumps and watery eyes.
If you haven’t heard the song I truly encourage you to grab a Kleenex, and give a listen to the song (I’ve provided you the link below):
“Sir I wanna buy these shoes for my Momma please
It’s Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry Sir?
Daddy says there’s not much time
You see, she’s been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes will make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful
If Momma meets Jesus, tonight.”
Base: two coats of Essence Got a Secret
Stamp: BundleMonster plate BM15 and China Glaze Millenium as well as Konad plate m77 with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White
(for the shoes I used Konad plate m9 and Wet n’ Wild Ebony Hates Chris)
Top: Seche Vite
Have you heard this song, “Christmas Shoes”, before? What do you think of my interpretation of it?
