Guest Post – Jasmine from Colour Coated

Author: marta  //  Category: Uncategorized

Even though I’m back home already, I still (very thankfully) have three guest posts queued up for you.  Today is my Godson, Lucas’, Birthday Party and jetlagged or not I hope to be in attendance.  But enough about me ;)

Today’s guest post comes to you from Jasmine, who is the kind soul behind the blog: Colour Coated.  There is something so lovely about Jasmine’s nails and the lovely shades she always sports!  I especially enjoy her Lynnderella (a brand I’ve yet to get my claws on) swatches as well as all of the incredible skittles manicures she comes up with.  I tell you, skittles manicures don’t come easy to me… I just can’t come up with the right combinations to make them look distinct yet cohesive.  Jasmine, on the other hand, is quite skilled at these and that is what she has chosen to share with all of us today! :D

Hey Peeps!
I’m super excited that I get to share my nails with you today on Marta’s lovely blog!
Marta is an absolutely wonderful person and I have a huge nail crush on her because I love how creative and talented she is with her manis. That being said, I felt very honored when she asked me to do a guest post while she took time off to visit her family.
The mani I’m sharing today involves two things that are a little out of my comfort zone: stamping and pink polish. Marta finds a way to incorporate both into some amazing manis, so I decided to give it a shot myself.
My inspiration was the cover of the Burlesque movie companion book.
I did something different on each nail, but as a whole, the mani is emulative of the cover.
On my index finger I used FingerPaints Art You Kidding Me? topped with one coat of China Glaze Snow Globe. My middle finger is Wet ‘n Wild Black Creme with a few rhinestones added to bling it up. My ring finger is OPI Alpine Snow stamped with the kiss print from plate BM02. And lastly is my pinky with Wet ‘n Wild Black Creme topped off with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Glass Slipper. Whew! There’s a lot going on! Check it out:

I hope you guys like my Burlesque nails:) I had so much fun creating them and I love doing manis like this where each nail has a different look.
A huge thanks goes to the lovely Marta for letting me share this with all of you today, and for inspiring me to step out of my comfort zone and give nail art a chance :)

I can definitely see the inspiration on the nails! Simple but not understated. That kiss mark was a great touch!
