Are we really mid week already? Wow! I have to say, the older I get the quicker time flies by… I don’t think that is quite fair, but I’ve yet to find a solution so my grumbling about it won’t do much good
Anywho… onto today’s edition of the mystery Color Club set Twin Posts with the lovely Carmela from Polished Indulgence.
(set purchased at Winners for $14.99 + tax)
On the docket today is Color Club I Believe in Amour.
This is a soft cream lilac-pink polish. In the bottle it appeared far more lilac… once on the nail it was predominantly pink. Either way, the swatches are of two coats:
I have to say that this one is totally unique in my collection. Had it not been part of the set, I would have most likely dismissed it in the store. Once on my nails, I quite liked the change in “color- pace”. This was not too Barbie-pink and the slight lean into lilac gave this polish a more sophisticated look and feel, while still staying playful.
Though this wasn’t love at first sight, I can now say that I too “believe in amour”; this shade is a keeper (I have to add, just as a side note, how much I like ‘wacky’ nail polish names).
I think this is my very first “skittles” manicure of sorts. I recently bought this sparrow plate, MLS301, on eBay and I knew that I wanted to use it with this color.
EDIT: a reader of this post has brought to my attention that the eBay plate I purchased is a dupe of an authentic Konad plate. I genuinely had no idea that this had a Konad original. If you are interested in getting the original, you can do so HERE
I couldn’t decide whether to pair it with dots or stripes… and so I thought to myself: “self, why not both!?”
The dots I did with Born Pretty Store plate m79, and the stripes with a white striping brush polish. I used one coat of Color Club Candy Cane for the glitter nail.
This look is a little bit more playful than what I normally go for, but I have to say that with a plain tank top and a pair of jeans this is quite wearable
Carmela always finds the neatest things to post with in her manicure photos… I found this little toybox… thought I’d give it a whirl
Now I encourage you to spin on over to Carmela’s blog to see how she wore I Believe in Amour!

I will ask the age-old question… are skittles okay at any age or is the skittles look to young for an old-timer like me?
Have you tried the skittles manicure look? (Links to your manicure are welcome in the comment section).
