Gosh we are mid-way through the week already!
This is a manicure I dug out from the ‘vault’… but kind of like the “top of the vault” for it is only a few weeks old
I was curious to see how an image off of BM-315 would look like stamped and I came up with this ‘vision’. Well, I will be the first to admit that sometimes the visions in my head are much prettier than the versions on my nail. I wanted to create a quick gradient/color shifting manicure with this stamp… I started out with one coat of China Glaze Electric Beat. I then dabbed on (with a sponge) BarryM Rasberry and sponged using China Glaze Sci-Fi and BM-315. As an afterthought I added on Finger Paints Motley. This was my result:
I was kind of ‘mueh’ about the manicure at this point. I was also flustered that my sponging was rushed and therefore not gradient/smooth enough; this look just seemed to lack ‘flow’.
Before I gave up hope completely I thought, I like the flakies, but the base is too sheer… EUREKA!
I dove into the Helmer for Cult Nails Seduction. *phew*
(can you see the difference between this photo and the one above it? )
I painted Seduction right over the stamp down the center of my nail and to either side of the ‘sponged’ BarryM.
What can I say, Seduction saved the day
I could spend my day staring at the color shifting flakies in this bottle… yup, allow yourself to take a flakie-gazing moment It’s alright… I won’t judge

How often do you incorporate flakies into your manicure?
I have a few of them in my collection but keep forgetting about them, though they add so much character to a manicure.
Do you have a favorite flakie polish?
