Dotted Pretzel

Author: marta  //  Category: OPI

Hello Lovely Ladies,

Today I continue to shine the light on yet another shade from the OPI Germany Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  This time I would like to share with you a nude/neutral shade that has very quickly risen to the top of my favorites list: OPI Don’t Pretzel my Buttons

OPI descrives Don’t Pretzel My Buttons as “A haute honey-beige that can always make you smile”

I really don’t want you to pass over Don’t Pretzel my Buttons just because it is “neutral” polish; to the nail-polish connoisseur ;) this shade is everything but common.  Don’t Pretzel my Buttons stays warm-toned and gives my nails a healthy neutral glow… I almost want to say peachy.  This shade is mmmh, mmmmh good against my skin-tone.  I haven’t been this smitten with a flattering nude since Cult Nails Cruisin’ Nude came into my life ;)

(dots were created using two OPI shades from this collection: Don’t Talk Bach to Me and Danke-Shiny Red as well as some BornPrettyStore gold holo glitter all placed using a dotting tool)

Putting aside the fact that I ADORE pretzels (therefore I was sold just by hearing this fun polish name) ;) , this shade is THE perfect palate cleanser… it is one of those work-appropriate neutral shades that compliments any wardrobe and style.

In case you missed my swatch post, here is two perfectly creamy coats of Don’t Pretzel my Buttons:

Do you have a favorite neutral palate cleanser?

Do you love pretzels as much as I do? Chocolate covered pretzels? (mmmhhhh yummy)

THANK YOU FOR READING!!!

I purchased this color along with several others from the collection and must say that it is my new favorite nude! Peachy is a great way to describe it. AND I love what you’ve done with the dots! This has been a fun series to follow!

      Hi Trachelle,
You and me both are enamored with this one ;) Okay, I am so glad you agree with me on the ‘peachy’ tint… I didn’t want to put it out there and confuse people with the terms, but on me it really leans just a tad peach with adds to the charm! ;)
Thank you HONESTLY for your sweet comment. On Monday I will have “Berlin There Done That” ;) Hope you stay tuned ;)

      Hi katzekratz,

    Hi mobb,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this kind comment :D I have seen neutrals like this one paired with neons and it looks really sharp (maybe neon dots ;) ). Thank you and I’m glad I was able to showcase a nude in a way that you could enjoy also :D

  • Louise Cook

Wow this colour looks stunning on you. I love nude polishes but have yet to find the perfect shade but this certainly looks worthy on my investment :) . I love the colours used for your dotted tips. Definately one for my inspiration list xx

Oh my, I’m SO behind with your posts! So excuse me if my comment are short, I have some serious reading to do! :D

This is absolutely lovely, and I love those “palate cleanser” colors – I bought the entire Essence Nude Glam line AND Catrice Ultimate Nudes, so every let’s say one a month I get to try one of them and “rest” my eyes and everything. :D I’ve been meaning to do this kind of dotted look for ages now, but I don’t have different sized dotting tools (only one size) and that can be a problem. Maybe I’ll improvise.. if I’m in the mood ;)

This makes me want Don’t Pretzel My Buttons. I love how nice and clean it looks. Definitely a palate cleanser I’d reach for! :D And the dots you added to it gave it a festive flavor. It just gave me an idea for next year’s CNY — thank you!! :D
