Hello Lovely Ladies,

(Yesterday was the London and Area blogger meetup and I hope to put a little post up about it sometime this week.  All I have to say for now is that it far surpassed my expectations, and it was a VERY memorable event for me )

For today, I would like to show you a product that was sent to me from KKCenterHk.  This is a, new to me, online e-tailer that carries all sorts of REALLY unique nail art/nail accessories items!  I actually got THREE products from KKCenterHk, but will focus on the Gold Zipper Water Decals for today:

This package contains 20 Gold Zipper Water decals.  The gold zippers are REALLY metallic and highly reflective on your nail creating a really lovely effect.  These water decals are NON-Sticky so when you go to apply them onto your nail (I put together a water decal application photo-tutorial HERE) they are VERY easy to position/slide into place before you seal them with topcoat.

I started out by selecting two water decals and cutting them out.  Using them as a template (by placing them dry -still attached to the white backing- against my nail) I got a better idea of how far down my nail to paint my base color; my base color was ONE coat of Cult Nails Time Traveler.

I then used the saran wrap technique with China Glaze Electric Beat and Orly Au Champagne.  On the pinky finger I added two gold Cult Nails round studs.

I placed the water decals (one at a time) into a small bowl with lukewarm water submerging them completely.  After 20 seconds I used tweezers to remove the decal from the water and gently slid it off of the white backing and onto my nail.  I used nail clippers to trim the decal by the edges where it was a little longer.  I then dabbed the decal dry with a Kleenex before applying a topcoat.

If you use a decal on EACH nail this package will last you for two full manicures (as there are 20 decals).  However, if you work it into your manicure as accent nails you can actually get quite a bit of wear out of this package of water decals.
