Soulstice St. Barts

Author: marta  //  Category: Soulstice Spa

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I have to admit that this past weekend I had one of those “soul searching”/reflective weekends; I don’t know if any of you can relate, but one of those weekends where I froze in the midst of all the hectic-ness-of life and started questioning if I’m still holding it all together, if I am a good parent, if I could be improving anything in my personal life, if, if, if, if.  It was  a bit of an emotionally draining weekend but I’m right back on track today ;) and the only blues I’m feelin’, are those on my nails ;)

Today I would like to show you the NEW Soulstice St. BartsSoulstice describes this shades as “Liquid Teal” and I have to support their description.  At first I thought this shade resembled the likes of Essie Trophy Wife… but it does reflect more green making it more of a teal rather than your standard metallic turquoise ;)

Soulstice lacquers are:

  • 100% vegan and cruelty-free
  • gluten-free
  • made in the united states
  • non-toxic, 3FREE color + shine —- free of toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate

St. Barts was thinner than I expect/assumed it would be, but it still only needed two coats for full opacity :D (and by thinner I don’t mean worse, I just assumed it would be a one coater from looking at the bottle, that is all :) )

St. Barts is not only bright and vibrant but, like all other Sousltice shades, it is named after a place on earth and becomes an instant mini-vacation (for your nails ;) ).

St. Barts is a northeastern Carribean volcanic island fully encircled by shallow reefs, has an area of 22.1 km² (8.5 mi²) and a population of 8,902 (Jan. 2009 census).[2] Its capital is Gustavia, which also contains the main harbour to the island. It is the only Caribbean island which was a Swedish colony for any significant length of time; Guadeloupe was under Swedish rule only briefly, at the end of the Napoleonic Wars. Symbolism from the Swedish national arms, the Three Crowns, still appears in the island’s coat of arms. The language, cuisine and culture, however, are distinctly French. The island is a popular tourist destination during the winter holiday season, especially the rich and famous during the Christmas and New Year period. (source Wikipedia).

I wanted to add glitter tips, kind of symbolic of the sparkling water surface and instantly thought of Lush Lacquers Paradise Cove:

(a blue, bronze and gold glitterbomb ;) )

I hope you feel better Marta, because you are a wonderful mom!! Your kids are happy, well behaved and very polite! (not to mention super cute!!). That being said, there must be something in the air, because I am also questioning a whole bunch of stuff about my current state of affairs too… which you already know a bit about. Anyways! This is a very pretty tropical blue, St. Barts is a good name.

      * a mommy nod of understanding*
Thank you so much Karen. You know how sometimes you just need to hear that you are doing a good job, you get so wrapped up in things that you question it all and turn to anything to give you guidance. Your sweet comment is just what the dr perscribed ;)
I hope that once you are at work, some of the worries/hesitations you have will subside :D *HUGS*

That glitter is awesome! I totally feel you on the soul searching but I think it is natural to have moments when you feel like you aren’t quite doing enough. The fact that you’re examining yourself is a good thing!

Thank you so much. You phrased that very well and I am really grateful for your kind words and sweet comment

<3 there is nothing i don't love about Soulstice Spa polishes, names included!
As to the other stuff–I really admire the way you pull everything together and still stay so elegant. I couldn't handle one kid, much less three, much less with everything else you do. Of course, soul-searching and questioning and always trying to improve are qualities found in smart, moral, upstanding people, so it's good that it happens from time to time :) I barely know you and I love you! x

The names are what set this brand appart for me. I will buy a lovely shade regardless of the name, BUT an interesting name will definitely make me consider the purchase of ANY shade ;)

Your comment really means a lot to me. I appreciate it. I blog/swatch/photograph/edit mostly after the kids go to bed and I love doing it… but sometimes I feel the pressure of improving/being good and I wonder if the ‘minor stresses’ of that are not getting in the way of my day-to-day coping… lol. Or I may have just had a hormonal phase ;)

It is comforting to know that my little vent (which really helped in just putting it out there), spured you KIND LADIES to show me so much love. thank you, I’m very grateful!
LOL, sending the LOVE right back at you :D *hugs*

I am POSITIVE that I have commented on this post when it was posted. Disqus probably didn’t publish it -.-
Long story short, I really love this IN YOUR FACE combo – the blue for the sea and the multi color glitter for the awesomeness and sparkliness of the island. Awesome!

Thank you :D I think Disquis glitches sometimes. Thank you for re-replying ;)
It is a VERY vivid blue for sure!
