I have the distinct pleasure of showing you the full, 9 lacquer KBShimmer Winter 2012 collection.

I have a hard time limiting my photos so I have separated the collection into two posts.  This first one will feature the clear-base glitters (I really like clear-base glitters because the layering options are limitless!), and later on today I will show you the remaining six lacquers

Christy, the mastermind behind KBShimmer, says: “When creating my winter collection, I was inspired by the holiday season, cold weather, and my childhood.  You can definitely feel the Holiday spirit in these festive shades!

The KBShimmer Winter collection will be available through Harlow & Co on Nobember 15 at 12pm EST and 8pm EST.

These will retail at $9.00 / bottle.  Only Wrappers Delights will retail for $10.00 (BUT $5.00 from EACH bottle sold will go to Toys For Tots- all organized through Christy/KBShimmer).

Wrappers Delight  is the Toys for Tots Polish

(one coat over Cult Nails Nevermore and Cult Nails Quench)

KBShimmer: “This polish screams Christmas!! Inspired by wrapping paper, rolls of ribbon, and tons of tissue that surround gifts, this polish is ideal to layer over your favorite cream polish. Red, gold, and green glitter in a ton of different sizes jam pack this polish. This polish is packed with glitter, and may appear thick. This heavy glitter load allows for good coverage in one coat, or full coverage in two or three coats.”

I love how much glitter comes out in one coat AND all the different sizes.  I have been after the hard to find China Glaze Party Hearty for a while now, and while this is, in no way, a dupe… it satisfies my need for festive red/green glitter.  Also, this would make for the perfect glitter-tip manicure for the holidays!!!

We Three Blings:

KBShimmer: “This gold top coat adds the perfect shimmer to any polish. We started with a micro iridescent gold and then added faux gold flakes. To finish this polish, we added several sizes of gold holographic glitter.”

(One coat over OPI Samoan Sand, Cult Nails Quench and Cult Nails Nevermore)

The holographic glitter is what sets this gold-glitter polish apart from all of the others for me.  I like that We Three Blings has a Nativity-scene-inspired name AND I loooove the shade/tint of the gold- not too pale and not too yellow!

Candy Cane Crush – SCENTED!!

KBShimmer: “I know, with all the fragrances I have on hand, I should have done this sooner. This top coat is loaded with red and white hex glitters in many different sizes. This polish is scented with vanilla peppermint, for a classic sweet mint scent. Softly scented, this polish will not replace your perfume, but even when dry will leave a subtle scent. Layer over pink for a romantic Valentine’s Day polish, or over blue for a rocking mani for the 4th. This polish does look best in one layer, and due to the heavy glitter load, might appear thick”.

I must have been sleep-walking through the memo stating that this polish was scented   As I was painting I thought, wow, I smell MINT!  What a pleasant surprise!!

The scent + the look/feel of this red and white glitter = one big festive win in my books!
