Weekend NOTD

Hello Lovely Ladies,

Quick post for you today as I am off to photograph a wedding with Peter; I’m his side-kick/secondary photographer.

I wanted something fun but wedding-appropriate; I couldn’t decide on what to do with my nails… until, Maria from Cult Nails posted this white-accent nail look on Facebook.  I couldn’t leave well enough alone though so I added my Skittlette ‘flare’ ;)

To create this look I painted most of my nails with Cult Nails Blackout.  My pinky is one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore and one coat of Cult Nails Bitten (from their newest collection).

The accent nail is two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  I then stamped the stripes (I’m SOOOO EXCITED to finally own a stripe stamp!!!) with Gals GA21 and China Glaze Recycle.  I then used Mash Black with BM-314.

(isn’t Bitten pretty over black? Quite different then when it is worn on its own)

      Thank you. The wedding was a beautiful one- sweet couple too which makes the day go buy faster :D
      I originally made the stripes in silver, but didn’t like the effect as much, so these grey stripes featured are my second- go at this look ;)

      Thank you :D The wedding was a lovely occasion with a sweet bride and groom. Blogging is time consuming isn’t it… fun, but you do have to plan ahead… I hope you got your lineup ready for a busy week ahead ;)
      (being secondary photographer is really fun- none of the stress … just looking for sweet moments to capture while the head photographer does all the key-shots)

    This mani is absolutely gorgeous ! So classy too ! ;D I love the stripes of your accent nail ! They look hand-made. ^^

    I’m so frustrated because I don’t have enough time to see blogs and publish to much posts in those days… :( I have exams soon and some oral presentations this week… And I have a baseball team (of kids ^^) to coach with matches soon too ! ^^ (And I’m thinking that I don’t have to run a family ! I don’t know how I would do ! :o )

      Thank you ! I’m so glad you like this. I cannot freehand lines if my life depended on it. I used striping tape before but the ‘setup’ of the tape always took so long- this stamp is sooo easy/fun to use! I’m glad I finally have a line-stamp… and the spacing of the lines is just right IMO.

      Blogging is fun but it IS very time consuming. I would NOT have had the time when I was in school (I would feel so guilty blogging while there was studying to be done). I do 90% of my blogwork once the kids are in bed… I don’t clean at night- ;)

        yeaaah… I love blogging but first school comes first ! It is too important ! And then baseball comes second because it is real life ! I mean that I have a team to run and kids trust me so I can’tplace blogging first. ^^ But it is so cool to share what I make and you know… ^^
