I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw

Hello Lovely Ladies,

While the judges still deliberate on the Skittlette Manicure Contest, I would like to show you my little nail-art take on OPI’s I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw from the Spring/Summer 2013 Collection:

OPI says this about I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw: “Be seen in this deep midnight blue”.

This color is trendy and edgy… it shows its midnight blue side at all times (never veering too vampy/black).  The cream base of this two-coater screams luxury and sophistication.  Glides on like butter and shows the perfect midnight blue that is sure to please avid blue nail polish fans and those new to this color.

I won’t hide the fact that the “Warsaw” in the name of this polish is a big bonus in my books.  When I was in second year university I visited my family in Poland and traveled to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, for the day with my uncle.  I have some really great memories from that day 😀

I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw was whispering in my ear to be paired with some polka dots (a Polka’s polka dots…? 😉 ).

I had to obey! The rest of the manicure sort of just happened; I really didn’t have much of a vision and just played around with some stamps.  I’m not too sure if the end result is a ‘cohesive’ manicure or more a showcase of different ideas? Either way, the options for I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw are endless… This is a MUST HAVE polish in anyone’s collection, if you ask me 😉

Middle finger: Gals GA36 stamped WITH I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw and Born Pretty Store rhinestones

Ring finger: Bundle Monster BM317 and more BPS rhinestones

Here are two coats of I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw on its own:

I have had a few Ladies ask how I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw compares to Cult Nails Time Traveler.  Overall they are the same tone/shade of midnight blue BUT Time Traveler is a jelly finish with depth, while I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw is a solid cream polish with a ‘dustier’ feel to it.

Do you enjoy wearing blue on your nails?

Have you ever visited Warsaw? Poland?

  • Sonal

I am not very fond of this shade, but you have done your nails so nice that i feel like getting it 🙂

    • Thank you! That is a big compliment. I think this would be a great starter blue shade for anyone… because it has that dusty not-overly-bright blue base to it…. while still staying blue… hard to explain…

  • It’s such a gorgeous shade ! Will def need to get this one too. And the mani, like always is super cute !! Just love it.

    • Thank you very much. You will really like this one in person 😉

  • Lou is Perfectly Polished

I love the colour and I just love bows dots and rhinestones. Pretty much the perfect mani as far as I’m concerned 🙂 xx

    • LOL.. yeah, I didn’t have much of a ‘final-vision’ for this one but kept pulling in more bows and rhinestones 😀 Going happy with it. Glad you like it

  • Emma Brown

This collection is calling me, I think a few are closetoin colour to the Shrek collection which I missed out on! And this one stamps well too??? Bonus!

    • I also missed out on the Shrek collection… it was out way before I was a big nail polish enthusiast… now I’m doing some catching up 😉
Yes…. the blue bows were stamped with this shade 😀 It is very good for stamping with

  • coraline humbert

    so cuuute 🙂

    • Thank you 😀 I always say “cute” when I see polka dots and bows also 😀

  • Irena Požin

The colour alone is nothing special, but with the bows and everything else looks soooo cute 🙂

    • Awh, thank you! I think this shade is quite special when paired with white (especially in polka dot form) 😉
Glad I could help you see it in a different light- that is a big compliment

  • carolingq

I will need this shade, I love blue!
    Great manicure, super adorable!

    • Thank you Amiga…

I know you would create something really pretty with it… I hope you get it 😀

  • Icequeen81

pretty, love this blue love darkies and navys blue

    • well, this is definitely a “darkie” Navy blue 😉

      • Icequeen81

Definitely that is why I love It .

  • katzekratz

I love blue polish on my nails. I never visited Poland but my first love was a Polish boy 🙂 Great manicure.

    • Awh… how sweet of you to share that… it put a big smile on my face for some reason. 😀
      Thanks for your comment

      • katzekratz

I smiled, too, because of thinking of him 🙂

  • Oh sooo many Saw’s and I love what I saw and am seeing.

    • I always look forward to your comments because they have such a good sense of humour to them 😀 You are very witty. Thank you for your comment 😀

  • This is SO pretty I just had to click the link in my Google Reader feed and hop over here to comment! Blue + White + Bows = PERFECTION!

One of my 2013 resolutions is to try out as many new polish brands as possible – until now, I’ve mostly stuck with the same brands. I have tried OPI before but currently don’t own any bottles (they’re really expensive here), so this shade is going very high on my WL and I will sure consider buying it 😀

    • LOL… this blue is sure to wean anyone in 😉
If there are any current OPI shades that you would like to hunt down… let me know… I can get them here for a decent price… similar to China Glaze 😉

  • I love wearing blue, hate the staining! I am seeing a few from this collection that I want! This one included-I wonder how it compares to Roadhouse Blues

    • I always wear a base coat with my blues and black and that seems to help quite a bit. This is a cream polish and I found that removal of it was quite easy in comparison with jelly finish shades… 😀
I wish I had Roadhouse Blues to show you a comparison… but I do not own that shade… sorry

  • Love the color…

    • It is a lovely one for sure

  • GosiaB

Oohh this is outstanding!!! Another winner, Marta!!! This one will definitely be mine when it becomes available 🙂

    • I agree… this is a must have shade… I will be picking up the remainder of this collection when it comes out also 😉

  • emlangille

Gorgeous manicure. I love the polka dots/bows

    • Thank you… I had to do some polka dots… had to 😉

  • Paulina

    Gorgeous <3

    • Thank you VERY much

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !! THAT PERFECT BLUE I AM LOOKING FOR !! 😀 It is gorgeous ! I am in love with your nails ! 😀 I love bows and dots and… THIS BLUUUUUE ! 😀

(And by the wa, my exams ended today !!! 😀 So I am baaaaaaaaaaaack ! Yeaaaah ! lol)

    • I’m so glad to hear that your exams are done… I remember that feeling quite well from my university days. I hope you passed everything with flying colors 😀

I hope you get your hands on this blue (and add some dots and bows… and maybe even glitter 😉 )

  • Jamie Willett

I just love this!! The nail art is so adorable!

    • Thank you ! I’m very glad you like it

  • Joanne Proctor

I do love this blue, it is similar to time traveller but different enough for me to buy it 😀 I love what you did with polish , you always get it just right , lovely 😀

    • Yes, Jo… Time Traveler and this one are quite different… essentially the blue is similar BUT Time Traveler seems bluer/younger/more vibrant and is a jelly… while this one is just a little bit more opaque/mature and ‘dusty’… 😉

  • Christine Steiner

I find this mani one of the most beautiful I have seen from you!!! Immaculate!!!! And I definitvely will need this Opi in my life ;-)!!! And Time Traveller 😉

    • Really! Wow! I’m so glad you liked it this much!

Did you end up getting this shade yet? (I do not know how I neglected to reply to these comments in this post).

  • Yes, my shade of blue exactly! Very pretty :).

    • Thank you! (I do not know how I neglected to reply to these comments in this post).

  • ritterbraten

Incredibly cute manicure 🙂 🙂 Nice base colour too, and I love the word play 🙂

    • 😉 Thank you! I too love how some OPI shades play on words and create quite fun names for their shades.

  • you’re right, I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw is a must-have! I can’t wait to get my hands on this pretty polish! and I love it with white dots!!

    • Did you end up getting this shade yet? (I do not know how I neglected to reply to these comments in this post).

  • Melissa Andersen

This is such a cute design! You always find such creative, new ways to showcase colors–I love how these look.

    • Thank you! I’m glad you like this

  • What is the white polish? I need a good stamp polish in white like this one.

    • Hi Kellie,
I have been using Whirlwind White by Sally Hansen (but I believe this shade is now discontinued). I would also recommend Konad White (from http://www.wowsocool.com) OR I have also heard that Milan fast dry and Pure Ice fast dry whites are good for stamping (though I have not tried the last two personally). I hope this helps

  • NailGlaze

Love it! Amazing combination and manicure!
