Hello Lovely Ladies,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, with Santa’s bag heavy with awesome gifts, and your table surrounded by loved ones.
I had one of the most memorable, relaxing and pleasant Christmases in a LOOONG time. The kids each sampled Holiday food (which is a big bonus, as they are all picky eaters), they were little angles awaiting their gifts and really enjoyed each one of their new toys/treats (and there was an abundance of new toys). I myself was spoiled by Santa!!! I got a few great novels to read, a hand knit infinity scarf from my younger sister AND that Tiffany bracelet that I had been dreaming of.
I took a few days off from blogging, which seemed like a good idea to give you and me a break
(lol) but now I have an abundance of things to say … lol.
This is the manicure I would like to share with you today…
… but, in addition to it being a GREAT Christmas,… I also won the Nail Polish Canada Christmas Challenge. As the winner I will be receiving more nailpolish that I can even wrap my head around!!!! Over $450.00 dollars worth!!!! I owe this win to all of you, for your daily encouragement and sweet comments that give me the courage to enter challenges
. A special thanks to Nail Polish Canada for hosting such a fun and witty contest, and for all of you who participated in it (and had a chance to vote for me in the final round).
Okay, now onto today’s manicure which has satisfied my recent craving for the PERFECT CHEVRON solution

When I hosted the recent Skittlette Manicure contest, the first entry was from Rebecca from Polish Etc. Her entry featured this very chevron design and, when authorizing her entry, I asked her how she created this look. Rebecca referred me to the Make It Stick Etsy shop.
This large pattern chevron retails for $5.00 US dollars for 20 decals (large enough to fit both long and wide nails). I purchased the white Chevron design (seen in this post, layered over black polish) as well as a sheet of black chevron decals (not featured in this post… but I will show them soon).

The decal will come in 3 layers – The backing, the decal, and transfer tape on top
Easy to apply directions:
(I have found it most helpful to pre-cut the decal on the sides to fit your nail, before adhering it to the nail. This helped with both the overall crisp appearance of the decal AND the longevity of wear).
1. Peel the blue transfer tape off the backing and and the decal will be attached to the CLEAR transfer tape.
2. Place the decal with transfer tape attached where desired.
3. Rub well on your nail and peel off the clear transfer tape.
4. Apply a layers of clear coat to cover and protect the decal.

Durability: These are stickers… so they lasted about two days (of regular wear with some abuse from dishes, showers, chores etc), before the edges started to lift just a little.
Look and Feel: these stickers do stick up from the surface of your nail but not enough to be a bother (I personally like my nails smooth to the touch, and this did not bother me the slightest). To the naked eye, it is hard/almost impossible to see where the sticker starts and where the base shows through.

Pinky: two coats of HOT Ticket Coral Reef-ined, one coat of Ozotic 901 Sugar, and a Born Pretty Store black rhinestone.
Pointer Finger: two coats of Cult Nails Blackout.
Accent Nails: one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore, and WHITE Make it Stick Large Pattern Chevron Decals

I have been searching for the perfect Chevron pattern and my search has finally come to an end.
I absolutely love these and would recommend you give them a whirl! Did I mention they come in a LARGE variety of colors and each can be layered over ANY polish from your collection!

What do you think of these?
Have you tried any fun nail art items from Etsy before? I’d love to hear about it.
Did YOU have a good Christmas?
I know Christmas is not all about gifts, but did Santa bring you anything special that you would like to tell me about?
THANK YOU FOR READING!
