Hello Lovely Ladies,

A few weeks back I was contacted by Cindy from Shimmer Polish.  She sells her glitter lacquers on Etsy, and offered to send a few shades for me to review.  Each time I am offered an opportunity to review products I am overwhelmed with two feelings: excitement (that someone would trust/turn to me to do a review) and nervousness (that I do the product justice with a cohesive manicure and color-accurate photos).

Well, let me tell you, this Shimmer Polish review was a pure pleasure!

Shimmer Polish Eva is described as a: Burgundy Red with a hint of Silver Sparkly Polish!

This polish is full of fine micro glitter that sparkles and glistens in a burgundy red jelly-base.

(one coat of Eva over one coat of China Glaze City Sirens)

I wore this shade this Christmas and I loved it!  You will want to put a layer of topcoat over this one, not only to smooth out the surface of the nail from the micro glitter, but also to bring the sparkle of the glitter to life.  This is an amazing alternative to the traditional red-nail.

Shimmer Polish Jasmine is described as: an aquamarine, light blue and green Glitter Polish!
This shade sure glistens and contains some gold and bronze glitter bits to make this shade rich in color… oh, did I mention there is holographic glitter in this one also?

I am a sucker for glittery accent nails so I applied a second coat of Jamine to two of my nails and stamped the others with Bundle Monster BM-322 and Essie Good As Gold to create this look:

Shimmer Polish Nichole is described as: Red, Silver and Blue Melange Glitter Polish! A Patriotic Shimmer!

While I will admit that this did say red, white and blue to me I looove silver glitters with colorful glitters mixed in, and the added holographic bits have me enchanted!  Overall, this shade quickly made it to my favorites list.

I tend to always pair my red shades with gold (it is an inner urge I keep succumbing to).  With Nichole, I was given the excuse to pair red with silver (a terrain thus far unexplored by me)

The accent nail is one coat of Cult Nails Evil Queen with silver and blue BornPrettyStore glitter.

The 0.5 Fl. oz bottles retail for $12.00.  I love the fun and innovative combinations of glitter and I found these indie shades VERY easy to apply- the glitter was so smooth and the base wasn’t thick and clumpy- which made for very easy painting and FAST drying
