Hello Lovely Ladies,
Yesterday my youngest nephew had his Baptism and my family and I spent the day together in good company, high spirits and full tummies. When I got home in the evening it dawned on me that the year 2012 is coming to an end today, and that we will be welcoming 2013 tonight!!!
As my last post of 2012 I would like to show you my swatches, and review, of Dandy Nails Highest Ground:
Dandy Nails Highest Ground is described as a “delicate aqua glitter and shimmer suspended in a sky blue base”:
I really like how the turquoise macro glitter bits add so much interest to this metallic/pearl finish baby-blue polish. Highest Ground is soft and ethereal, without being boring. I can see myself turning to it for accent nail options in the future for sure!
While I did use three coats for this look, each coat applied smoothly; no clumps, no problems.
I really wanted to pair this shade with some black, just to take this ‘soft’ look and make it just a little bit edgier 😉
I used a regular black polish and the saran-wrap technique. When both shades were dry, I applied one thin coat of Matte polish.
For the accent nail I used one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore, and a square baby-blue stud from DollarNailArt.com.
Dandy Nails lacquers can be purchased by US residents on Etsy for $8.00 / bottle.
For international sales, Dandy Nails is distributed by Ninja Polish (a new shipment is expected this week) at $9.50/bottle.
(I have a few other GORGEOUS Dandy Nails shades to show you in the upcoming year! 😉 ).
