Pizzazz-ed tips

Author: marta  //  Category: China Glaze, OPI

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I hope you all had a great weekend?!

In today’s post I would like to share with you my weekend NOTD (if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me flaunt this mani there already ;) ):

Every now and then I get an itch to wear some glitter tips; most often I choose a plain silver glitter because I think that makes for a crisp and clean looking manicure.  I did however make an exception for the glitter-BOMB that is China Glaze Pizzazz ;)

Pizzazz is PACKED with various sizes of mostly silver glitter with turquoise, purple, fuchsia, red, green, orange and yellow glitter all suspended in a clear jelly base.  When I say ‘packed’ I mean PACKED- these glitter tips were achieved by painting only TWO coats of Pizzazz over the top portion of my nail :D

I did add one very thin coat of OPI Pirouette my Whistle over Pizzazz… (the tiny silver glitter you see) just to give the gradient a ‘smoother-transition’ look.

I may have bragged about the Tiffany Bracelet that Peter got me for Christmas (and because I am so excited about it… and because some of you asked to see it ;) ) here is a photo with it ;)

I quite enjoy glitter tips because they seem to me like a ‘sophisticated’ way to wear some glitter AND I find that glitter-tip manicures wear for a really long time without chipping so it is a ‘durable’ look :D

Pizzazz is part of the China Glaze Holiday Joy 2012 collection.  You might still be able to find it wherever China Glaze products are sold OR from NailPolishCanada.com (which is how I got my bottle ;) ).

Pizzazz seems to be the clear-base version of the recently released China Glaze It’s A Trap-eze with a milky white/blue base.  Both are stunning shades, but Pizzazz can be layered over ANY other shade and might therefore be more versatile? ;)

What do you think?

Do you like the glitter-tip manicure?

Do you own this shade?

How do YOU add pizzazz to your manicures? ;)

THANK YOU FOR READING

Oh you will loooove this shade! It is silver but colorful- large and small glitter together… sooo fun! I hope you play with it soon :D
Thank you- I am still pinching myself that I actually got the Tiffany bracelet (a long time dream for me).

Awh, thank you. I applied the glitter way past my visible nail line (way past the tips) to create this look- you might be surprised at how pretty it looks even on shorter nails ;)

        Thank you x2
This glitter is really nice because it applies smoothly but it is PACKED with goodness- so you will get full coverage in 2-3 coats. I also like the big and small glitter mix

That looks very nice! I’m not a big fan of glitter polishes but used like this makes it looks great.

Thank you. It is true, sometimes a full on glitter manicure can be too much/too young looking. But a glitter accent nail or just the tips add a different spin on it

  • Christine Steiner

So classy!!! And the bracelet is stunning!!!! I also like glitter best either on the tip or at the other end of the nail (sorry the word in English eludes me at the moment), so this is (again) right up my alley :-)

    • http://www.chitchatnails.com/ Marta

      Thank you !
I also do not know how to really talk about the ‘other end’ of the nail… I usually say the base… I have yet to try that!!!! I should! ;)

That looks great! Now I know what I will try with my Pizzazz :-) ) It is still waiting among the “untrieds”, but this I absolutely like. It is the right amount of Glitter.
Nice to see also your Tiffany Bracelet, enjoy :-)

Awh, glad to give you a possible idea. Sometimes such glitterbombs are a bit ‘much’ all on their own ;)

The bracelet is really a special (much anticipated and wanted) item in my collection now
