Hello Lovely Ladies,
As of this weekend, Harlow & Co has officially added Cirque lacquers to her inventory. While Harlow & Co is based out of Ontario Canada, Katie ships internationally, and I am always excited to hear that she is adding more and more brands … so many goodies in one friendly place 😉
Today, I would like to show you FOUR Cirque Lacquers:
* CAUTION… MANY photos in this post *
Cirque French Roast is described as: “A sparkling bronze glitter polish that reflects gold and copper”
(One coat over a brown cream polish)
French Roast surprised me a on few levels. First, by glancing at the bottle I expected this shade to be build-able, however the glitter and glass felckes are suspended in a clear base that would need a number of coats to reach opacity. Therefore I pulled out a Barbra Colour Alike Brown Czekoladka and layered French Roast over it. I didn’t expect to love this shade so much but the brown, orange, gold and olive shimmery/sparkly bits were so subtle and yet so sparkly!!! Very reminiscent, (not dupes) of two of my favourite shades: China Glaze Midtown Magic and OPI Holiday Glow
(if you are not brown fan, you could layer this over an orange, a black, etc) 😉

Cirque Fascination Street is described as: “A vibrant indigo polish with a rainbow holographic finish”
(two coats, no topcoat)
Indigo blue with purple undertones, leaning navy depending on the lighting… but wait! This IS a fairly strong linear holo!!!!

Cirque Cape Liz is described as: “A moody light blue with multi-dimensional shimmer”
“Moody” does describe Cape Liz quite well. This shade rests right between grey and blue… it is dusty and somber with some soft glass flecks in silver, purple and blue. I kept thinking Cult Nails Disciplined (but much bluer).
This is a really delicate shade with some close-up interest 😀

You know I always save the best for last right!? (and what beats the gorgeous deep blue holo of Fascination Street?)
Cirque XX is described as “A rainbow glitter polish made with over 20 different types of holographic particles”.
(one coat over Cape Liz)
All I can say about this one is WOW! XX has a variety of shapes and sizes of glitter (many of which are holo)… but the most fascinating thing is that the other glitters are the exact same color as the ‘hues’ in the holo bits. As a result, it looks like your nails are spotted with constant holo goodness (even in the shade)! In fact, I had my glitter-tip manicure on when Katie dropped these off, and I applied one coat of XX over the accent nail. I didn’t take a good soft-box photo, but here is my iphone quick snap.
This is genuinely one of the most spectacular glitter mixes I own.
I wanted to try one more ‘experiment’ by layering one sheer coat of OPI Funny Bunny to create a glitter-sandwich look 😉
