Hello Lovely Ladies,
I don’t know how I went from being a 2-3 times per week blogger to a 6 times per week blogger! *gasp*
I am very excited to have so many manicures to show you, to share so many product reviews with you… trying to squeeeeeeeze them into a manageable time schedule is another thing however When I got 21 bottles of Shimmer Polish, I will admit, I was overwhelmed with the amazing glitter-bombs before me, and how I would ever give them the attention they deserve.
I tend to wear glitters as an ‘accent’ (accent nail, a bit of glitter at the tips etc). As a way to challenge myself, here is what I have decided: for the next seven Saturdays (fingers crossed that I can stick to this plan) I will show you three Shimmer shades… both swatches AND a (hopefully) neat way to wear it
Without further ado, here is Karen, Strength (a request by emmy_bach24 on Instagram), and Irene (a request by Karen):

Ready! Set! (lots of photos ahead)
Shimmer Polish Karen is described as a “Lavender pink with a hint a plum Glitter Polish!”
I was swatching this shade when Peter walked by, and he exclaimed “whoa, that is some intense glitter!”
I agree. This is one AMAZING glitter bomb! Pink and purple glitters mixed in with all sorts of other glittery bits (including some super pretty holo). I truly adore this shade and think (though NOT a dupe at all), that Karen‘s WOW-Factor is comparable to the likes of OPI Mad As A Hatter.

Shimmer Polish Irene is described as a “Champagne Golden Silver Glitter Polish!”
(three thin coats)
Champagne toned gold glitter with some silver glitter is a perfect description. Did I mention this is packed with holo tiny bits too? This is one of those micro fine glitters that creates an overall blingtastic unit This glitter would be perfect for those who aren’t into straight-up gold (as this is a softer lighter gold), and those who don’t like the ‘big’ glitter bits.
I tried a sophisticated ruffian look with this shade by adding one coat of Barielle Erica’s Pencil Skirt.
Irene can be purchased HERE.

Shimmer Polish Strenght is described as: “Teal and Silver with Hearts Glitter Polish!”
* Donations will be made to support PCOS! *
I really like the color combination in this polish. I could see the silver hearts floating around in the bottle but they are a rare-treat and I didn’t get any this time (BUT when I painted my daughter Maya’s nails with this shade she spotted the hearts and we did get one ).
This is the perfect mixture of cool toned micro-fine and medium sized silver glitters, fine holo bits, and turquoise glitter of various sizes .
I wanted to add a stamp. I was hoping to go for a flower against a wire-fence look… sort of like ‘surviving against the odds’
Base: essence Got a Secret, with Mash-41 and China Glaze Millenium for the fence background and RA-121 with essence Let’s Get Lost for the flowers (dotted with Strength).
Strength can be purchased HERE.

These Shimmer shades applied with ease… each brushstroke is filled with glitter so you can build it up (as was the case here with three fast drying coats) OR you can layer these over any shade of your choice.
