piCture pOlish – o’hara

Author: marta  //  Category: Gals, piCture pOlish

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I hope your love-tanks (or tummies from all the chocolate) are full after yesterday’s Valentine’s festivities ;)

Today I would like to show you how I wore the beautiful piCture pOlish o’hara:

* * *

O’hara is a bright red crelly (cream/jelly) with scattered holographic bits.  Just like the piCture pOlish website states, this polish has NO glitter but contains these holographic glass-flecks of shimmer.

(two coats)

I was totally floored at how opaque o’hara is.  Usually jelly shades require a few coats to build up, but o’hara applies like a creamy dream and is fully opaque in two very thin coats.

Indoors the holographic flecks give off a pink/fuchsia glow that gives this stunning red polish unbelievable depth.  In the sunlight, this polish shows its full scattered rainbow potential ;)

From formula to innovative look, I absolutely adore this polish- and that says a lot because when it comes to red shades I tend to be a cream type of gal.

o’hara is “for the Scarlett in all of you”

* * *

To create this look I painted my pinky with Cult Nails Nevermore, and stamped the ring finger and thumb with Gals plate GA27.

I cannot put into words how much depth and personality o’hara has. I lo-lo-looooooove it :D

O’hara is bright and vibrant.  It is definitely an attention grabbing shade with a really smart look.

    Gorgeous, wow !!! I love the mani you dis using the colour, looks so rich and beautifull ! Honestly wish I could actaully pull off red nails, but somehow I always end up smudging them before top coat. Hee hee hee. Gorgeous as always ♥

      Awh, I think red is worth a try (even in accent nail form when paired with purple or black? ). There is a lady at my local store who wears all of her nails in black but for her ring finger- red… it looks pretty neat :D

      With reds I almost have this expectation that they are one coaters and so sometimes I apply them thicker than needed (which in turn increases drying time). I have since learned to apply thinner coats and that helps drying time and reduces smudging opportunities ;)

    Wow Marta! What a gorgeous red. I can see the depth you’ re talking about. I also really like the black stamping on it. It reminds me to stamp black on red more often. ;-)

      Thank you – I am glad that my photos were able to show the depth (sometimes that is hard to get). :D Glad you like the stamping- I originally used a thinner lined design and re-did the nail for a ‘bolder’ but still feminine stamp. (the finer lines were a little tough to see)

      :D I really enjoyed wearing it for sure- a lovely shade- it isn’t exactly holographic, full on rainbow- but a more mature sparkly glass fleck- oh, you’d love it!
