Hello Lovely Ladies,
Though I haven’t had a lot of work on my plate lately, I feel like time is zooming by. All through Thursday I was convinced that it was actually only Wednesday, and I’m still doing double takes as to how quickly time is flying.
I am excited for today’s Shimmer Saturday post, because I tried a technique for the first time- and there is something really rewarding about building up the courage to try something new, and it in turn actually working out.
In this fourth installment of Shimmer Polish Saturdays I would like to show you:

* Shimmer Stephanie *

* Shimmer Alice *

*Shimmer Vanessa *
Shimmer Polish Stephanie is described as a: “Bright Royal Blue, Navy Glitter Polish!”

(one coat over China Glaze Little Drummerboy)

I really lake the glitter combo in Stephanie. Most of the glitter is small/medium size with a few larger bits in between. While the glitter is predominantly deep blue, there are red and purple and gold bits (as well as some holo) that really kick this shade up a notch.

(pinky and ring finger China Glaze Electric Beat)
(I used the dry polish on a ziploc bag technique for this design. I will have a picture tutorial/step by step tutorial in tomorrow’s post)

Shimmer Polish Alice is described as: “Discoball Silver Holographic (w Stars) Glitter Polish!”

(sponged on tips over Revlon Minted)
This truly is a holographic disco ball.
I own quite a few silver/holographic glitter shades already, so a polish really has to WOW me for it to stand out and stay in my collection. Alice did just that!
For me personally it is not the occasion star glitter that had me intreagued… it is the entire polish itself. The application is nice and smooth, and I really like the ratio and sizes of silver holo bits in this one. It is not just medium/large glitters suspended in a clear base, or just crushed bits- it is a perfect union of both. Really ideal for my favourite look: the “glitter tips”

I strongly recommend this polish to those of you who already own silver/holo glitters and those who don’t. I for one am happy to add it to my collection. *insert big grin on my face here*

Shimmer Vanessa is described as: “Dark Gray Silver Pewter Glitter Polish! with a hint of red and other colors.”

(one coat over Sally Hansen Celeb City)

(direct light)
OOOOOH-WEEEEE is how I feel about Vanessa (as in the polish, because I don’t know any Vanessas IRL
).
Vanessa has a predominantly charcoal/pewter and holographic silver fine glitter mix, with some medium silver bits, medium black bits and some fine red glitter. The base jelly of Vanessa seems slightly grey tinted as well which adds to the overal darker feel of this silver polish. I ADORE IT! It is not often that you get charcoal grey glitter with such sparkle- soooo sooo sooo pretty!
Again, I tried the ziploc bag and polish technique (quick post on that tomorrow):

I was itching to add a little bit more… so I did:

Shimmer Polish can be purchased on Etsy HERE (and for those of you who are looking for international shipping, I have heard that Harlow & Co will soon be carrying a selection of Shimmer Polish shades
)
Have you tried any of these techniques?
Which of these three shades do YOU like most?
THANK YOU FOR READING!
