PUEEN – Love Elements- FULL REVIEW

* * *

Hello Lovely Ladies,

You might remember my recent PUEEN plate set review… well PUEEN has come up with a new 24 plate set and I am soooo excited to review it here for you!  Whereas their previous set of plates was predominantly geometric-shapes, this LOVE ELEMENTS collection has a more romantic, softer, floral collection of designs 😀

* * *

(caution, this post will be photo heavy BUT there are closeups of each individual plate)

The set of Love Elements plates comes with a cute faux-leather storage carry-case:

The storage sleeves fan out so that each plate can be quickly and easily accessed.

Even if you already have a working storage solution for your stamping plates, this storage case would be IDEAL for traveling! 😀

Each plate has a blue protective shield that is easily removed.  Each plate also has a protective backing and smooth plate edges.

EDIT: All of the full-nail plate images are larger and wider than those of BM set 2 and BM set 3 or Konad.

Here are the plates in order:

I really like the damask-like images on this plate

Check out these lace roses!

Damask and dainty

This bow is so cartoon-cute looking, and check out the center-top image!  So pretty!

These would look great in bold color combos!

I can see myself playing with these designs and adding some glitter/glequins 😉

The image on the right has captured my heart

I actually really like all of the images on this plate!

I really like the smaller images on this plate- I can see the floral designs over a gradient 😀

Look at all the pretty ‘heart’ choices

This is such a fun geo-plate, thrown in the mix 😀

I can see the swirl image on the left being a favourite for many

No surprise that I LOVE the image on the left AND

recently, a friend asked me if I knew of a ‘car’ stamp… here it is Elizabeth!

Look at all the gorgeous butterflies and spring/summer designs on this plate!

“OWL!” need I say more?

ok… I will… I actually really like the top image as well!

More AMAZING heart images!

Love the bottom image

I really like the double hearts and the image on the left

I know many of you LOVE star images… choose you favourte!

My eyes are on the lovely image on the right!

I think the TOP and BOTTOM images will be really fun to play with!

Swirls and lovely soft images- so so soooo pretty

Check out the little bird, the roses and the TOP image. Honestly now, how does one even choose!?

Left, Bottom and Right… yup, a few more geo images…

I really like the smaller images on this plate.

This is the look I created using PUEEN-33:

* * *

For my base I used Cult Nails Faded.  The pinky is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy.  The ring finger is OPI Solitaire.

I also mattified the stamping using OPI Matte Topcoat.

I really like the delicate and ‘romatic’ designs in this set of plates.

The PUEEN LOVE ELEMENTS 24-plate set can be purchased on Amazon.com HERE, for $18.99!

PUEEN has quickly risen to the top of my favourite stamping brands list.  The images transfer easily, create crisp results and the designs are innovative and day-to-day wear friendly.

Two thumbs up from me 😀

What do you think of this set of plates?

Any images you’d like me to try first?

  • Hi! Are those images same size/bigger than the cheeky’s Summer edition plates? thanks

    • Sorry about the delayed reply. While I do not have the Cheeky summer set, I will say that these images are larger than konad and BM3. Hope this helps?

    • Stacy Plowman-Pennock

Jeani, they are a tiny bit smaller than the Cheeky summer designs.

  • Rachael Robinstein

Lovely! Are these on the big side or small side? I don’t have particularly large nails but I have some plates that don’t cover my thumbs. 🙁 I am loving the look of these.

    • Rachael Robinstein

Oh and I love the one on the right on plate 44. That’s got my vote for the ASAP list. 🙂

      • These are definitely on the larger side- similar/ if not slightly bigger than BM3 😀
I will see what I can do with the image on plate 44 😉

  • Stunning plates! Love the designs! Especially the one you used for your manicure! So lovely with the OPI Solitaire as accent and China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy which is a fabulous addition for that pop of colour! Love it! ♥

    • So glad you like my manicure *hugs*
Thank you for your kind comment

  • Oh my, I wish I didn’t have to pay bills right now, these are awesome! Definitely at the top of my wish list! thanks for the review!

    • Those pesty bills right!? 😀
Glad you found this review helpful

  • Rea

I’m so excited for the PUEEN plates, but I’ve yet to find a way to get them to Europe/Germany! They’re so cute and the images are so awesome 😮

  • Love these! I will be investing in some new plates in the future!

    • 😀 I can see you doing some great things with the softer images in this set 😀

  • Linda

Oh wow,I love them and I really want them. I have the other set as well. I’m from The Netherlands and I’m a great fan from you, your site and all the things you show on your site.

    • Wow Linda, your comment is so very nice and sweet. Thank you SO much!!!! Hugs from Canada to The Netherlands 😀

  • Stacy Plowman-Pennock

I just ordered these a couple days ago and I can’t wait for them to arrive!! I haven’t been this excited about a plate set in a long time! 🙂
I think my first mani will be with the top image on #32, but I’m very intrigued by the top image on #45.

    • I’m late replying- by now you probably have them already! 😀 What image did you use first? 😀

      • Stacy Plowman-Pennock

Actually, Amazon just delivered them today so I haven’t used them yet! I decided to redo my nails tomorrow & I’m not going to use a design I’ve seen on any blogs yet. I think I have it narrowed down to either the left side design on #31 or the left design on #33, my color choice will influence my final decision!

  • All the image plates look great, awesome manicure!

  • Beautiful! Another set of plates I need to add to my wishlist. I love your use of the sands as accent nails, by the way.

    • Thank you so much- I do like the little bit of grittyness as accent- glad you like that look as well 😀

  • wow love those plates..

    • Me too 😀 They are quite fun 😀

  • Rebecca Hill

It doesn’t look like they ship to Canada. 🙁

  • I am definitely going to have to get those plates. I’m glad that the images are larger because the other plates almost always aren’t large enough on my nails. Love the mani…soooo gorgeous. You just can’t go wrong when F3 is part of a mani! I’m going to have to try to do something similar. I don’t have the OPI polish but I could replace that with a muted jelly sandwich. Thanks for sharing!

    • I agree 😀 So glad you like this look 😀
Thank you for your lovely comment

  • Whohooo they are lovely! I also like the idea of the booklet.

    • Glad you liked this review of these awesome plates

  • Michelle Smith

I’d aprpeciate it if you could try some of those that look like they might not transfer very well, like the top and bottom on plate 27.

  • Teresa Bruechert

Will have to try Pueen now. Love trains and the “tracks” are great,
do you know if there is a “train” design?

    • Thank you- I do not own a “train” stamp in my collection… hhhhmmm.
The PUEEN sets are available on AMAZON.COM and are a great price. I strongly recommend them 😀

  • I love these plates!! The design you used is my favorite of the whole set! I would love to see you use plate 48 the design on the left. I never know what to do with the images that cover so much of the nail polish. If there is anyone who can give me some direction it is you!

    • Awh, I will make sure I put that on my to do list and show that image soon 😀 Those images look really good in similar tones- light blue base with a darker blue stamp for example OR in stark contrast such as black and white 😀 I will see if I can work something out soon 😉

    • I will have a post using this plate and design (as per your request) on June 12 🙂
I know that is quite a wait but I am working it into a very special post 😉

  • Glittersnapdragon

Oh, I very much love these! I might now be forced to puchase these plates and start stamping……you make it look so pretty and do-able 🙂

    • I STRONGLY recommend the PUEEN sets. the designs are so lovely and so easy to work with 😀 Let me know if you take the plunge 😉

  • Can I just say that I absolutely love reading your posts and reviews on all things nail related. You are the queen of nail stamping! U inspired me to get my first nail stamping plates 🙂
Do you have any recommendations for a stamper/scraper set? Yours always turn out flawless! Mine are giving me such a hard time! ;(

    • Wow, what a super sweet compliment- thank you!
I hope you love stamping- it takes some getting used to, but once you start there is no turning back 😉
I have only used one stamper/ scraper that I purchased over two years ago- still works like new: it is a double sided konad stamper/scraper from http://www.wowsocool.com (they ship for free after$25.00) The stamper/scraper really does make a big difference. Make sure you use highly pigmented polish to stamp with (usually one coater polishes or chromes). I also work fast- the slower you work the longer the polish has time to dry out between each step of paint, scrape, and stamp.

I paint the design about half way and scrape, spread the rest of the polish. I PRESS the stamper DOWN onto the image and ROLL across the nail 😉 Hope these little tips help? I also watched a lot of youtube tutorials to learn little tips and tricks that worked for me

  • Mina

Love that case! As if the plates weren’t wow enough 😉
The pattern you chose is just soooo pretty!
And your mani is beyond words amazing! Delicate, soft, feminine but still with a hint of playful with your vibrant pinky colour. And what to say of the gorgeous Solitaire and that awesome stud!? It’s like a cake with a cherry on top! 😉

    • Awh- your comments make me blush each time I blush a little more… 😀 Thank you so much! I am so glad you like this look- It was fun to pull out the bright pink- I know I will return to it very soon in the upcoming months

  • su xin

May I know which polish you used to stamp with? Thanks!

    • Good Question. I use highly pigmented shades. This white is Sally Hansen Whirlwind White (I think it is now discontinued)… but, if you can get a one-coat white (ex Pure Ice, Milani) those could work. I also recommend Konad White from http://www.wowsocool.com

I also use Mash Black http://www.mashnails.com
and chrome/metallic shades from China Glaze and Essie 😉 Hope this helps

  • Awh, thank you! That is a HUGE compliment.
Thank you for sharing the link to Big Cartel! *HUGS*

Hi Martha. You and Bregje are my favourite bloggers. Both of you are so good in what you do, that you inspired me to start my own blog… don’t hold your breath, I am not even close to you. Sigh… Being fellow Canadian, I decided to contact you and let you know that your reviews are inspiring, and that I hope that one day I’ll be half as good as you. I have this set and love all of the designs. Cheers.
