piCture pOlish – Tiffany

Hello Lovely Ladies,

This hasn’t been the case in ages, but today’s post was actually put together, photographed and written up yesterday- so, in fact, you are seeing my NOTD.

A NOTD which features the stunning piCture pOlish Tiffany:

piCture pOlish Tiffany is a soft and yet ‘bright’ Tiffany blue (leaning mint-green ever-so-slightly).Β  This is two smooth coats; honestly, I don’t know how piCture pOlish does it.Β  The formula isn’t thick and yet it covers in two coats!!!!

(posed with an Ardene bracelet)

My husband, Peter, who is a photographer gets these photo-ideas that he has humorously coined “image blurbs”.Β  Well, I have had the “image blurb” for this manicure for a while now- I was just waiting on the perfect opportunity, and Tiffany was “it”:

I have never applied round studs in a row down the nail before, and I so wanted to try it with ‘animal print’.Β  Well, not only did I have the delicious Tiffany shade, but I also got some PUEEN bronze-gold round studs for review πŸ˜€

(300 pieces retail for $6.69)

To create the studded look I spilled out a few of the studs onto a piece of paper and flipped them right-side-up (for easier pickup- which I do using a dotting tool dipped in clear polish).Β  I then painted two coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff.Β  When the polish was still tacky I placed the studs into the polish.Β  I then painted a thick coat of topcoat on either side of the studs to secure them in place.

The animal print was done freehand with the exception of two hidden hearts which I transfered from Konad plate m78.Β  I added some complimentary gold detail with OPI Goldfinger.

What do you think of Tiffany?

Do you get manicure “image blurbs”?Β  Do you ever wait with a manicure idea until you get just the right shade?

Hi Marta, I am smitten by your Skittelette!!! Absolutely beautiful. I own Tiffany as well and you worded its formula and beauty perfectly!!! I do have such blurbs – sometimes it is around a single accent nail that I try to “dress”, sometimes it is that I try to assort which look to which nail. Rarely it happens that I wait for a particular shade to arrive for a Skittelette, I think the last one was Honey Dew!!! Have a wonderful day

    • Oh Honey Dew… I will be showing that one again this friday… I can’t get enough of these- they are soft shades but have some ‘neon’ elements to them- love love love!
Thank you for sharing your image-blurb experiences πŸ˜€

  • Marta, stop creating these awesome manicures please. I am running out of drool. Sincerely – my dried out mouth.

    • lol πŸ˜€ Oh, no drool- that was a good thing when my drooly son finally stopped teething πŸ˜‰

Your comment made me smile from ear to ear- thank you

  • Stacy Plowman-Pennock

Jees, I feel like a broken record, every day it’s “Wow Marta, Gorgeous, Stunning, Beautiful, Amazing, blah blah blah…”!!
I’m running out of ways to tell you how much I love your manicures without sounding redundant!! πŸ™‚

    • Rachael Robinstein

Lol! I feel the same way too. πŸ™‚ She is amazing!

      • *blush* now I’m redder than a ripe tomato- thank you! πŸ˜€

    • Gosh you make me blush!!!!
I won’t ever tire of letting you know how much your friendship and readership means to me πŸ˜€ much thanks! *hugs*

Beautiful manicure as always! Your man gets better with each pic!

    • Awh, thank you!!!!!

  • Really gorgeous! Am I crazy or do I see a little heart on your middle finger? Any way I love it.

    • not crazy πŸ˜‰ I did add a heart using a Konad plate πŸ˜‰

  • Rachael Robinstein

Fabulous! So classy and sassy! I must get my hands on some studs soon! I just noticed that you liked my Facebook page (The Nailinator) and I literally let out a yelp of excitement! πŸ™‚ I love your blog so much and you have been such an inspiration to me. Thanks so much! I hope you have a great day.

    • Awh thank you for your kind comment.

I must highly recommend these PUEEN studs- the inside of the stud is filled with this rubber-filling which helps the studs stay put…rather than being hollow like the studs of other brands. I wore them for 6 days and only lost one (picked it up and attached it again).

I’m sorry I wasn’t a follower earlier- sometimes it is hard to find all the great blogs πŸ˜€

  • This is absolutely stunning! Loving the leopard print and the studs <3

    • thank you- I’m so glad you like it

  • Love this!! I love the two colors together!

    • thank you πŸ˜€

  • Denise Drespling

Whoa! There’s a good chance this will show up some day for a Monkey See, Monkey Do!

    • Yaay! I would be honoured πŸ˜€

  • So gorgeous!!!

  • Mina

Yessss, I’ve had image blurbs! Lately I’ve been finding inspiration almost everywhere but then I go through my stash on my mind and ‘damn, don’t have that shade yet!’ hahah
Glad you were able to pop one fo those image blurbs, because this is a fantastic look! Love the togetherness (is that a word?) of Tiffany (I hate PP – why do all their polishes need to be this great? WHY? ;)), with the animal print (that cut heart at the top is soooo cute!) and the delicate tiny rounded studs – overall, beautiful, gorgeous mani! πŸ˜€ **

    • Mina

PS. got carried away and forgot to write – LOVE THE BRACELET! πŸ˜€

    • Oh yaay! High-five to image blurbs πŸ˜‰
Thank you! Thank you Thank you! I just took this manicure off- lasted over 6 days with literally no-minimal tipwear!
PP is quite genius with their shades- even this polish is sooo much brighter IRL- it is a pastel-neon … if there ever was such a thing. I am so in love with their shades.
